
Bodegas Valdemar celebrates its 130th anniversary with a gala dinner in Madrid.
On 17 October, the Valdemar family marked its 130th anniversary in the world of wine in a privileged setting, the Palacio Gans in Madrid.
The event was attended by a distinguished group of guests including gastronomic specialists, leading representatives from the media, influencers and well-known names such as the designer Vicky Martin Berrocal, Luis Medina and the famous architect Tomás Alía.
The winery shared details of its pioneering winemaking trajectory with its guests and told them about its latest project in the USA, Valdemar Estates.
Valdemar Estates is the first foreign-owned winery in Washington State, specifically in Walla Walla .
History of the winery and the most emblematic wines
Jesús Martínez Bujanda, chairman and owner, told those present about some of the most famous moments in the history of this long-established winery and its Rioja Designation of Origin and presented a selection of its most emblematic wines such as the Conde Valdemar Edición Limitada and its spectacular plot wines La Gargantilla and Balcón de Pilatos.
For her part, his daughter Ana related some of the details of the new American winery Valdemar Estates located in Walla Walla, Washington State.

The designer Vicky Martín Berrocal had been asked to design an extra-special label to commemorate this anniversary.

Vicky shared with the attendees her experience in carrying out her first project for a wine.

El Basque Culinary Center accompanied Valdemar with a spectacular array of gastronomic delights. This academic institution, a world pioneer, surprised those present with its extraordinary preparations.

Ending on a high note: the art of Arcángel.
The evening ended with a performance by the famous flamenco singer Arcángel, who brought a magical night to a perfect close.
